If you’ve purchased a Victron SmartSolar MPPT charge controller, you can easily monitor and manage your solar system via Bluetooth using Victron’s VictronConnect app. This guide walks you through the connection process and what you can do once connected.
✅ What You Need
A Victron SmartSolar MPPT controller (Bluetooth built-in)
A smartphone or tablet with Bluetooth enabled
The VictronConnect app (Free for iOS and Android)

1. Power On Your Victron MPPT
Ensure your MPPT is powered by either:
A connected solar panel (during daylight), or
A connected battery bank
⚠️ If there's no power input, the Bluetooth signal won’t be active.
2. Enable Bluetooth on Your Phone
Make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone or tablet's settings.
3. Open the VictronConnect App
Launch the app. It will begin scanning for nearby Victron devices automatically.
4. Look for Your MPPT in the Device List
Your SmartSolar controller will appear with a name like:
Tap on the device to connect.
5. Enter the PIN Code (First Time Only)
You’ll be prompted to enter a PIN code. The default PIN is 000000
(six zeroes).
You can change this later in the settings for added security.
6. You're Connected!
Once connected, you’ll see a live dashboard showing:
Battery Voltage
Solar Panel Voltage
Charging Current
Charge Stage (Bulk, Absorption, Float)
⚙️ Optional: Rename Your MPPT
To make future connections easier, go to:

Update firmware (if prompted)
Adjust charging battery presets (LiFePO₄, AGM, Gel)

If your device doesn’t appear, make sure it’s powered and within Bluetooth range (~10m).
Restart the app and toggle Bluetooth off/on.
If still not connecting, reset your MPPT by disconnecting it from both battery and solar for 60 seconds.
